- Drill two holes, both to the right hand side of the center holes drilled in step 2.
- Drill two more holes, to the left hand side of the center holes drilled in step 2.
- Choose or create an image for your background and cut it out to fit inside the pendant.
- Apply glue inside the pendant trya, making sure to get it into the crevices.
- Press the cut out image onto the glue and rub it lightly with your finger tips.
- Cut 5 pieces of 20 gauge wire to fit the vertical length of your pendant. Approximatly 1 1/2".
- Insert the first piece of wire into the bird charm.
- While holding the bird onto the wire, guide it throughthe top and bottom center holes.
- Feed the second and thrid wires into the other holes on the right and left side.
- Once your wires are in place, you can use flat nose pliers to shape them. I decided to curve mine a little to imitate the curve of the pendant.
- Use round nose pliers to create loops at the top and bottom of these 3 wires.
- Repeat step 13 on the two unused wires. Hook these two wires into the top and then into the bottom loop of the center wire, creating two bars on the outside of the bird.
- With flat nose pliers, open a jump ring and add it to the top of the pendant.
- OPen another jump ring and use it to add the key charm to the bottom of the pendant.
- Using metal letter stamps and a hammer, stamp the words "fly away" along the sides of the pendant. Then use the letter"I" to stamp lines along the border of the pendant.
- Rub black Metal Paint into the letters and lines, and use a damp paper towel to wipe away any paint that gets on the metal surface area above the letters.
- Trace around the pendant onto a definition of the word "fly" and cut the shape out.
- Glue cut out onto the back of the pendant and stamp it with a flying bird image.
